What's it good forThere are days when I am unable to work continuously on one specific project, and have frequent interruptions, but I still want to know how much time I have really spent on the project. Timekeeper does that for me. The projects I care about are ones that I spend a significant amount of time on. I also want to know how much time I have spent on ancillary tasks, like getting the phone company to fix my DSL. The statistical approach is usually not good for tasks that take, say one hour a month, unless you are accumulating time for long periods, say a year or so. You may want to lump such small tasks into categories, and keep track of these larger categories. "Telephone interruptions" could be a general task. Specific things that cause many interruptions could be separate tasks. |
